Celebrating Tania’s inspiring hauora journey
We are proud to celebrate the incredible progress of Tania Russell who continues to thrive on her hauora journey - a testament to resilience, commitment, and community support.
Over the past few months, Tania has successfully completed all six sessions of the Diabetes: Your Life Your Journey Self-Management Education Programme, which has empowered her with tools and knowledge to take charge of her wellbeing.
But her journey didn’t stop there. Tania set herself a goal and participated in and completed the walk at this year’s IronMāori event – an awesome achievement and symbol of her strength and determination. In addition, she has embraced movement and connection through the Sit and Be Fit class and is preparing to join the Tai Chi class, both part of the Active4Life timetable offered by Sport Hawke’s Bay.
She is enjoying her journey to date and is very thankful for all she learnt on the Diabetes: Your Life Your Journey Self-Management Education Programme and the support she has received along the way.
Tania’s story is a beautiful reminder of what’s possible when we walk alongside each other in pursuit of better health.
