The purpose of this series

We're often asked about life with diabetes. But diabetes is only one part of a person's story.

More Than My Diagnosis is a Diabetes New Zealand storytelling series featuring people whose lives have been touched by diabetes. Through video, audio and written stories, people share who they are, what they love, what they're proud of, and what they want the world to know.

Some live with diabetes. Some support a loved one. Others work in research, healthcare, advocacy or education. Their experiences with diabetes may be significant, but they're only one part of who they are.

Because when you get to know someone, their diagnosis is often the least interesting thing about them.
