On 29-30 October 2004, a global consensus conference on Self-Monitoring of Blood Glucose (SMBG) hosted by the International Diabetes Center, a World Health Organisation Collaborating Center for Diabetes Education and Translation, was convened at Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. This report was published in a supplement to the September 2005 issue of The American Journal of Medicine.

Review of the Pilot Diabetes Scorecard September 2005 (714KB)

The Diabetes Scorecard developed by PricewaterhouseCoopers and Diabetes New Zealand will enable DHBs and other health service providers to monitor progress in detecting and managing diabetes and help to pinpoint the areas of greatest need over time. The Pilot Diabetes Scorecard survey looked at diabetes services across Northland, Waitemata, Auckland, Hutt Valley and Southland DHBs.
