Additionally, NZMS Diabetes provide comprehensive customer support, education and training to help individuals, and the healthcare teams that support them, have the best possible experience with their diabetes devices.

The strength of the Mahi Tahi

The partnership with NZMS Diabetes aims to amplify awareness and education around diabetes, how the condition can be managed and what living with diabetes means to individuals and their loved ones. We believe that by working together we can help more people living with diabetes live their best lives by empowering them to take control of their diabetes care and wellbeing.

Why now? Together as
Hapori

There are over 307,000 people in New Zealand living with diabetes, and this number continues to increase – in both type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Additionally, although diabetes can affect anyone, statistically diabetes is more common among, Pacific, South Asian and Māori people. We believe that education around diabetes and how it is managed has never been more important.

We are committed to supporting the diabetes community in New Zealand, through understanding concerns and assisting to lessen the burden of managing diabetes where possible. We recognise that for many individuals, diabetes is an all-encompassing condition which requires constant monitoring and action.

By coming together, NZMS Diabetes and Diabetes New Zealand will work to spotlight that – the efforts of individuals and their support networks to achieve a better quality of life. Together, our voices will be amplified to educate and advocate for the diabetes community, for a better tomorrow.
