Insulin pen alert
Humalog cartidges should only be used in the HumaPen®
Luxura™(burgundy or champagne colours) and Lantus should only be used in the Autopen®
(blue or green colours).
It is important that you check the insulin
cartridges before loading them into either your HumaPen Luxura or Autopen as
Humalog and Lantus cartridges can be fitted into either pen.
Before every
injection check that you are injecting the correct insulin. If the incorrect cartridge is loaded it
could result in you taking the incorrect type and dose of insulin and this
could potentially result in serious changes in your blood sugar.
