Diabetes New Zealand Supermarket Tours

A supermarket tour is for anyone interested in understanding more about reading food labels, understanding nutrition information panels and making the best food choices for their needs.

Supermarket trolley

A New Zealand Registered Dietitian leads a small group of people aisle by aisle through the supermarket explaining how to make a healthy choice an easy choice.

Tours are open to everyone whether they have diabetes or not. If you have newly-diagnosed diabetes you will find them especially useful.

The tours are designed to complement advice given to you by your own Dietitian. Each tour is around one hour. There may be a small charge, however check when you book with your local diabetes society.

Don’t forget your glasses and a pen! You will be given the Diabetes New Zealand Supermarket Shopping Guide when you attend, which gives a comprehensive summery of the key points.

To book a supermarket tour contact your local diabetes society.
